Yuvraj: We had a good start but lost many wickets and the score wasn't enough in the end. I thought it was competitive but Watson played well. We have to improve our batting and bowling.

Shane Warne: We were pretty disappointed the way we played Delhi. We have a good young side. I thought Munaf Patel bowled well at the start, then Shane Watson in the end. All credit to Jeremy snapes and the rest of support staff for getting the team together. We have bounced back well. We will get the likes of Graeme Smith, Younis Khan and Mascarenhas. Smith will add a lot to this team. We will produce a few upset along the way. We will do ok"

Man of the Match: Shane Watson: " It was a great team effort. Shane Warne bowled absolutely beautiful. Ravindra Jadeja really batted well and took lots of pressure off me. I am getting just used to the conditions. It's fairly different from Australia - this one was a lot closer to conditions in Australia and I loved it."

Warne  :icon_thumleft:

Jadeja has batted well in both matches. I wonder when he is going to get a bowl.

Once Smith and Mascarehnas replaces Akmal and Lehman, RR looks to be an OK side. Is Shane Watson going to play the entire season ?

WTF.. this is a shocker ..
KXIP, better get their act together!!

They were suppose to have best bowling. I expected them to defend this total. SSS should have been handfull in the conditions but decided to spray the ball arround. They need to replace PC and bring in RR in next game and find another spinner who bowls left arm spin.

SS is hardly a one day bowler and I don't expect him to do too well in 20/20s. He doesn't have the calmness and coolness to be delivering 4 tight overs. It is possible that he might be on fire someday and run through a lineup but for most part I doubt he'll be an effective 20/20 bowler

The entire croud of Jaipur was booing Sreesanth... why cant he just concenterate on his bowling....  Glad Royals won.... coz i get a start on in the PickEM league.... Smith and Akmal to open with Pathan and watson coming at 3 and 4 looks promising and bowling is also decent if dadaji patel keeps up the fire...

Why would anyone replace Akmal? Akmal is a star batsmen, even today he looked to be in good touch before he threw his wicket away.

Lehmann yes, he has gotten very old, he cannot get the ball to hit the center of his bat.

This tournament will be competitive.. if RR can beat KXIP.. the difference between top and bottom teams is not that much.

Good for IPL

I am sure at this point Warne and Watson(if available) are going to play all the games.

In terms of 20/20 batting Smith and Mascarehnas are definitely better than Akmal IMO.  Akmal can keep though.

ps: Thanks for the links, I didn't use them though since DTV started working.

I don't think so. Today's game was just horrible batting on part of Kings XI and lack of intensity. Yuvraj as captain is not inspiring at all. I just feel that Kings XI is not as strong a team as Delhi Daredevils, Kolkatta, DC or Chennai Superkings.

I also feel that as the tournament goes on issues such as what score is a safe score for the first innings, issues like the non-availability of players due to international commitment or injuries would come into play. The first two-three games seem more like practise games.

Kings XI fielding probably is the worst fielding i have seen from a team

How Preity Zinta is feeling now? Is it Like Priya Bakshi  of movie Kya Kehna?

its still too early. They have to play 14 games before semis are decided. They have lost two games but both were closed. They do have to iron out their bowling a bit. And Lankans need to fire.

yeah it seems so. He was bowling the out swingers so well, but messed them up by bowling wides and inswingers al most every other ball. Coach needs to come in and have a chat with this dude. If not they should bring in VRV at least he will hit few sixes.

just saw the replay of the match..

Good performances by Warne, Yuvi, Chawla (batting and fielding), Watson (batting only) and Jadeja (fantastic hitting).

Kaif and Irfan struggled.

Shouldn't Warne have been selected as the MOM.. fantastic bowling by the magician...

why didn't other teams do similar things for players who haven't arrived yet? they too have a choice? what about when players leave for national duties?

Lets start with firing Moody! ::cheers::
Useless coach ..so far.
Is it only upto Preity Zinta to cheer up the team? :(

What a waste?
And Yuvi too seems to be an incompetent captain.
