all over...

17.6 Nehra to Boucher, SIX, good grief, he's smoked it! Thats the biggest we've seen tonight! Nehra pitches in the slot and Boucher sends the ball nearly out of the stadium, hitting the roof and falling back... 19 runs from the over
17.5 Nehra to Boucher, FOUR, clinical hit! Boucher! Backs himself, clears the front leg, and heaves it over midwicket for four more, what placement
17.4 Nehra to Kallis, 1 run, makes room and drills this along the ground to long-off
A very experienced duo in Kallis and Boucher. A tight contest here.
17.3 Nehra to Boucher, 1 run, back of a length and he chops into the ground at midwicket for one
17.2 Nehra to Kallis, 1 run, full outside off stump, driven through the covers out to the sweeper
17.1 Nehra to Kallis, SIX, bang, big hit! Kallis gets a full toss and hammers it into the sightscreen! At this stage of Mumbai's innings, Pollock took 20 off the over, mind you ...

Some points that I would like to add

1. Stupid captaincy on part of Dravid and Bhajji. Dravid's bowling changes were stupid. Bhajji should have definitely sent Pollock earlier on.
2. I was impressed with Kohli's little cameo. He has the timing, but the exhuberance needs to be toned down. Abhishek Nayyar's catch was beautiful.
3. Very enthusiastic crowd, on par with Eden Gardens. BTW, the ground was neither Brabourne or Wankhede, it is a new stadium in Navi Mumbai. The ground is great! I thought that was so swing on offer.

this is what i mean when i say that people r ready to just jump on someone even without giving that person a chance.yes rd didnt have a sr of 200 but still they played to a plan of keeping wickets initially and then going after the score. bottom line is brc won.

yes the thing is what was obvious to the whole country was not obvious to RD...that is to open with DUFFER

to add to that RD is supposed to be most experienced and know the ground ....as i mentioned other day , RD should be criticized for 2 things

1.Not batting first
2.Choice of opener

Smart captains dont make such mistakes , for example SG showed he is miles ahead of rest of them .....he brought himself down today knowing the pitch condition, he also promoted SAHA as batsman ..another masterstroke...he really knew the guy wants to back, Dinda is rocking .

Today RD's theory that good batsmen can be good 20-20 players proved correct though...KALLIS rocked . RD also extremely well in the pressure situation, he desrves kudos for that...doesnt mean observation on his crappiness in last game does not hold true!

How is that a masterstroke ? It is as stupid or as good as RD choosing to open. SG is a regular opener in one day matches and he should be opening to maximize the scoring opportunities IMO.

that is the point ...like you couldnt ,RD also couldnt not make the difference between ODI and 20 over game...and went for batting second thinking of dew factor .....proves my point  ;D

linear relationship always does not work boss

i dont think calling sg's demoting himself can be called a masterpiece whereas rd's opening a wrong one as actually both of them won!!rd's theory of opening was to stay on for a longer period of time and provide some sort of stability at one end and keeping wickets in hand , and it did work. on the otherhand i agree sg is an opener nd should have come out leading by example and made use of his expertise as an opener but he decided to come later(was it to make sure he didnt get to face the fresh fast bowlers in the beginning???)

I agree and I could sense the chill through SG's spine - there was nowhere to hide his fear of faing aging Vaas and RPS.

So true. He was scared of facing RP and Vaas on a pitch which was still fresh in the second inning. SG as a captain has always made sure that he gets to play in best conditions doesnt matter whether its good for team or not. For a long time he choose to bat at #3 in ODI as he was scared of short ball from fast bowlers. Indian team suffered a lot because of it. I hope SRK sees through this guy and kick him out ASAP or his team will continue to perform badly.

just as expected the moment something is said bout sg and everyone is up in arms. I was just trying to put the point forward that u can't be appreciative of sg for demoting himself n critical of rd for opening when both ended up winning. Try to play on a level ground

just as expected the moment something is said bout sg and everyone is up in arms. I was just trying to put the point forward that u can't be appreciative of sg for demoting himself n critical of rd for opening when both ended up winning. Try to play on a level ground

why can't we look at each individual seperately?!
