fair enough but then treat everyone on equal ground for similar decisions which result in similar results

just as expected the moment something is said bout sg and everyone is up in arms. I was just trying to put the point forward that u can't be appreciative of sg for demoting himself n critical of rd for opening when both ended up winning. Try to play on a level ground

OK let me tell you again why both the moves were different. SG is a proven performer against SPIN specially left arm one. His 87 against Paul Harris just cpl of weeks back should be proof enough. And hyderabad had only one front line spinner in Ozha. So him coming down the order was logical.

RD on the other hand has been successful when he comes after field restrictions are off. Reason being his inability to go over the top and he ends up providing fielding practice to in circle fielders. In the game against KKR they needed to wrestle back initiative at the start of inning, so opening with two guys not known for power hitting was a bad idea. And then back it up with Kallis at 3. A little bit innovation was needed.
T20 will be won by the team which is led by smart captain who is constantly thinking. And for that reason DDD, KKR and CSK are gonna have advantage. I will see how SRT does in next game though.

Oh boy, are the BRC good or are the MI so bad. They had no batting beside Uthappa.. Pollock saved them the blushes...and is the Shah kid a quota guy? How can they have a bowling attack revolving around Nehra(who is coming back after such a long layoff). SRT better take charge

this is what i mean when i say that people r ready to just jump on someone even without giving that person a chance.yes rd didnt have a sr of 200 but still they played to a plan of keeping wickets initially and then going after the score. bottom line is brc won.
Smart captains dont make such mistakes , for example SG showed he is miles ahead of rest of them .....he brought himself down today knowing the pitch condition, he also promoted SAHA as batsman ..another masterstroke..
How is that a masterstroke ? It is as stupid or as good as RD choosing to open. SG is a regular opener in one day matches and he should be opening to maximize the scoring opportunities IMO.

that is the point ...like you couldnt ,RD also couldnt not make the difference between ODI and 20 over game...and went for batting second thinking of dew factor .....proves my point  ;D

linear relationship always does not work boss
true..it also proves the point that a positive comments can be applied on anything when a change made for the sake of change !

Btw SJ seemed to have injured himself while batting. He was stretching himself a la SRT. Did anyone notice?
Hmmm SJ and SRT watching from the dugout in the next game. That will be a lot of money sitting idle.

that guy was dominic thorneley. that was when zaheer was in the middle of the most awesome spell of sustained hostile fast bowling.

RD finally got the reward of browsing the DG .... understood his flaws in the last game, received tons encouragement from GODK and DLEE and at the end, got it right .... I hope VVS follows his footsteps soon ....

I backed BRC to win this... MI w/o SRT is < than RR  :-\

Sanath Jayasuriya ensured that photographer Andrea Fernandes's first sports assignment would be a memorable one. The swashbuckling Sri Lankan sent one of his trademark slashes crashing into the fence at Wankhede stadium, during the Mumbai Indians vs Bangalore Royal Challengers IPL match last night, where it landed on the nose of the 24-year-old Andrea, who was standing just behind the advertising hoardings.
But Andrea, who is admitted at Harkishandas Hospital, Charni Road, with a fractured nose, is still counting her blessings. "Wow... it was Jayasuriya! I wasn't aware who the batsman was but I am thankful it wasn't a six. If a four can break my nose, imagine what a six would have done," she said. Dr Ashok Shah said she would be operated upon today.
Fernandes has been a photographer for more than three years but yesterday's IPL match was her first sports assignment.
"From this experience I have learnt that safety is needed no matter where you are," she said. She added that this would not stop her from covering more matches in the future.

what a day zaheer had -
2 wickets, 1 retired hurt, a runout and a catch.
4 overs 2-17 does little justice to that

Oh .. she is the one. Man, that shot raced like a bullet.. and the camera captured people covering the "fan" who was hit.

C'Paul did not get a nasty one-he inflicted it on himself... that being said C'Paul like GodK had pronounced was almost delivering the goods as required. I thought he and RD would crawl but he did surprise me by attacking.

If one has seen Cpaul perform in limited overs in the recent past, it is amazing how that little frame can hit so hard...and effective too !!

When did frames matter ? Some of the biggest hitters have been tiny men ...
