i did see the match.

SG had to be superman to get to the ball.

i saw it too - none of our nimble-footed (sydney bridge) new-age warriors would have stopped it either. of course, they may have made a futile diving attempt to give a good camera picture. of course, and our bowlers would have felt so encouraged that they "tried".   ;D

Yeah, I saw the match too, and that ball was stoppable if SG was serious in stopping it.

Now I know what will happen. There are already 2 SG bhakts, who claim they have seen the game live, to out-vote me. There is another SG bhakt who has not seen the game live, but does not believe that the ball was stoppable. Them there is a neutral guy who also believes the ball was not stoppable.

So, I don't expect to win this argument, but what the hell...

You guys think that he was not even in the frame (in the highlights clip), so this means he was too far away to begin with, to stop the ball. Did you guys wait for a second to think that he was not in the frame because he was too slow to begin running toward the ball in the first place!! When your start is slow, and you give up the chase toward the end, naturally you will not be in the camera frame when it is zooming in on the ball. Just because you are not in the frame does not mean you did everything right from the point you realized you are supposed to field the ball. What the heck, SG might have been late even in realizing that the ball was coming toward his fielding area.

WN put SG's effort nicely - Maharaja stroll.

..why didn't he? huh? huh? just coz he is the ODI captain, he can just sit on his haunches all day long? he shd be taken to task. in fact, more i think about it, i think the bowler should have handed over the ball to the umpire to complete the bowling and run towards the boundary to cut-off this shot.
