I think you are within rights to express your opinion.

Now I see some Lotas comment out there.  I will give it a pass for now.

SRT did sulk.  That's all there is to it.

Dude DD when we met in NY even said that when he was out there with his buddies in for the WC(2007) in the team hotel where the "loser" Indian team was staying some of the members of the Team told in private Sachin was being a cry baby and did not like being asked to play in MO.  So now how credible or believable those accounts are is another story but going by the media reports they seem to be pretty accurate and believable.  So there you have it.

                 Jab We Bet

A walk through any casino at Las Vegas and the chances are that the slot machines will be occupied by the elderly, especially women, who spend hours with a bucketful of coins having a go with the lever and hoping that the slots click into place giving them a bonanza. They do not try their luck at anything else and it is the single minded purpose of working the levers that keeps them going.
Dhoni must have resembled such a citizen with his blinkered support of Yuvraj Singh when people around and the cricketing fraternity in  general would have wished that he put his bets elsewhere even if it was at the ‘crap’ table.
However his perseverance paid off with the slots coming together nicely at Adelaide and Yuvraj delivered an innings that we all know he could produce, the only question with most of us being, would it be in Australia?
Jayawardene had prior to the match asked his batsmen to be patient and not throw away their wickets. The skipper showed the way it was to be done and his deputy followed him ably in doing Plan A. Unfortunately for them, they did not seem to have a follow up plan and so from a position of strength where they should have got at least 260, they ended up well short and allowed India a foot in the door.
He may be a joke in the field and someone for whom the bat is just a piece of wood but give him the ball and Munaf is the nearest India will ever get to having a McGrath in the attack. For bowler who according to his captain ‘does not think’, seems to do a decent job of it even so.
There should have been early signs that this was India’s day when not one but two Lankan batsmen lost their wickets at the non strikers end with the bowlers providing the ‘fingers of death’.
However a by now regular Tendulkar failure in a chase, an unlucky roll of the dice for Gambhir and a Uthappa run out meant that India would struggle.
Rohit Sharma continues to impress and disappoint at the same time. After working his way to a start he managed to find a fielder with a sweep that he failed to keep down.
There was no stopping Yuvraj though and an awe inspiring six over mid wicket let us know that he was back. It took a Vaas ‘special’ to get rid of him and with Pathan batting in a more suited spot and Dhoni running his way to a fifty, India could not be denied.
Praveen Kumar for all his exploits at the national level gives one the feeling that he may find it difficult to raise his game for international duties.
Though Dhoni ensured that this game did not go down the tube, slotting the icon from the Delhi Daredevils in the middle could be the way forward in future games.

actually my point was different. it was that everybody barring GC and RD thought SRT should open, and that was creating disharmony. SRT obviously did not like batting at 4, it was a stupid idea that did not work. he probably did sulk, but to question his integrity to his job is a different matter. he is not some yuvi to fall off track because of some girl. he is sachin, and whether he is happy or not with his position, i think he deserves at least this minimal amount of respect that he still put in 100% to his job every day.

i think his brilliant performances in the last year have put paid to all that middle order rubbish. clearly he is still our best batsman and should bat at #1
