WOW.. can you believe this..

--
2.1     Finn to Goswami, no run, back of a length on off stump, played to point with soft hands, a direct hit comes in and gets him just short of the crease but no one appeals ... good grief

Goswami was clearly out!

Taruvar Kohli stays on till the end with an unbeaten 63 as India win by seven wickets. England are out of the tournament. This was a win set up by India's bowlers. A target of 147 for a good batting order was never going to be a terribly big ask. Handshakes all around as the teams leave the field.

Taruvar gets the Man-of-the-Match award for his innings.

From cricinfo:

India now await the result of the New Zealand-Sri Lanka quarter-final to know who their semi-final opponents will be. Whoever their opponents are, they will have to do something special to upset India's campaign that has grown stronger with every match.

lol .. i read the same thing in one of the newspapers this morning .. so, now that is some additional suspense as well.

i think the IPL should consider this feature (you will not know till the morning of the match who your next opponent is) as well in its opening season ;)

was it Asif who screwed us last time? I thought it was some other guy who has not yet made it to the national team. He bowled five no balls and picked four wickets in his first over, if I remember right

i thought anwar ali was crap, and his partner in crime jamshed something equally one-dimensional. only good for that u-19 level.

theyve been fairly decent in domestic cricket but nowhere near intl level

what a horrible scare that was!! 9-6!!

yeah .. actually only 2 players have broken through to national ranks from that match for both india and pakistan .. not a bad thing by itself, as i have felt that we do rush through some of these guys into the senior squad

Yup, that's him.

Well, this article claims he is from Jharkhand ... another one that I read said the same thing .. anyway, does not matter

Sourav TIWARY
IT'S quite unusual for India’s ODI captain MS Dhoni to say "Baap re" in response to some stunning strokeplay. But that's exactly what happened last season at Eden Gardens when Jharkhand was pitted against Bengal in a T20 game. As a number of Tiwary ‘big ones’ disappeared into the stands and fielders were nursing blisters in their palms, Jharkhand was celebrating the spotting of Dhoni II.
Tiwary sports long hair like Dhoni and is immensely popular among the World Cup teammates who call him Bhim. Kajal Das, who also happens to be the East Zone junior selector, was Tiwary's first coach. “He is with me from the time he used to roam around in shorts,” says Das, who never imagined that one day he will be picking a boy from his own academy for the World Cup. The son of a junior India volleyball player, who works for Telco in Jamshedpur, Tiwary at 6’ 2” is the tallest player in the squad. Das says that he hasn't seen anybody who is so much in love with the game. “He would come home from a hectic tour but in the evening he would be batting in the nets,” says Kajal. He has got a first class hundred but missed the three-figure mark by two runs in a warm-up game in Malaysia few days back. But it wouldn't be out of place to mention that he finished the game with a six.

I dont think any of the Pak players are under 19

I also DOUBT most of Indian players are under 19 either ....

There is a reason we always are into the finals of under 19 WC and get crashed out before Super 8's in the real thing
