I entirely agree. What a difference even such a small thing can make. It helped Maharoof get his line back, Murali to get into some sort of rythm and the likes of Malinga to come on at a time when the Aussies had to think wickets in addition to runs.

While AG did get a good hundred, I thought it was quite selfish towards the end.

Was he really that selfish -- while I admit that the focus on his 100 lost momentum for his side, I think a lot had to do with how Clarke played as opposed to just Gilly.

I feel that the whole team got caught up in it which is what caused the momentum loss. They should have let Gilly do his thing and done their own thing --the momentum was lost because they were too busy trying tio get him the strike and the 100.

Now, the pressure is back on India and Sri Lanka

Great tri-series ... what we now need is for India to beat Australia and then SL to beat Australia .. that would set it all up very nicely.
