Rohit too leaves. I believe what they have lacked in runs, they will more than compensate with their fielding.

And what amazing strike rate!

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tiwari is a Hindu Brahmin surname found mostly in the Northern and Central parts of India and Nepal. Its other forms are Tewari, Tewary, Tiwary and Tewarey. It is derived from Tripathi which literally means reading three times.

While Tiwari is common in the states Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, Tripathi is used in (in addition to these states)in Orrisa, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Maharastra. The density of Tiwari (and Tripathi) is more among Kanyakubja and Saryupareen Brahmins.

The popular belief is that those Brahman families who specialized in all the four vedas came to be known as Chaturvedis ( chatur means four in Sanskrit), those who specialized in three vedas came to be known as Trivedis or Tripathis ( Tri- means three in Sanskrit), Dwivedis specialized in two vedas ( Dwi- meaning two ), those who only studied the vedas but didn't specialize in them came to be known as Pathaks i.e the readers and those who specialized in the Upanishads were known as Upadhyayas.[citation needed]

Shuklas (meaning white or bright), Pandeys (meaning pundit) and Mishras (Mixed knowledge of Vedas and Puranas) were specialized in all the vedas and puranas. However, the Shukla brahmins were gurus (teachers) by profession, thus the most respectable in society. Mishra Brahmins were preachers by profession, thus they usually lived a wealthy and respectable life in society. Pandey Brahmins were into tantra, mantra and yoga, they were respectable but usually lived away from society.[citation needed]

Dhoni is really visionary....i now understand the deeper meaning of the need for taking singles , because we can manage only one single each 1-2  over .

Dhoni is redefining sheet anchor role. Dravid should take a lesson from him.

But then the cool definition of ODI is it's not about batting or bowling. It's all about fielding. I am sure India will field well.

Right and it wouldnt be because we have Lee And Thampson as our fast bowlers and their batsmen are not brought up on these pitches? Neither it will be that this team has been shipped just 4-5 days back with hardly any practice. Indian fans are known to support every guy making debut for India, they specially love to support the guys when they are down. With Ganguly and Dravid in Team we thrashed Aussies in our back yard not so long ago. And in 10 games before that. These newbies in their chaddis are gonna replace them? Their cant be nothing more laughable than that. Bring back the oldies. We will score 300 here.

I thought Dhoni got the whole test series...So even if I forget about other guys, what about him? Does he need more practice?

He is still there. Maharathis Sachin Tendulkar and Virendra Sehwag are gone. They made 79 and 143 respectively, So i do understand the issue here. As i said the past data shows that with SG and RD in we would have been 323 in 36 overs.

Vick, while you make some valid points, I am surprised i never heard these arguments when we were playing In England or when we were facing the Aussie bowlers with the seniors in the team.

Do you mean to say that the effect of conditions, pitches, superior bowlers -- are only applicable to the newbies ? And they were not applicable to the others ?  :icon_scratch:

good point regarding MSD having experience of playing the whole test series . I read a very interesting article which says as Captain and knowing the adjusting to Aussie condition to be tough for inexperienced players ...MSD should have promoted himself up when the team is in trouble . But for some strange reason he didnt do it in TT , neither did he do that here....
