On to Mumbai
« on: March 10, 2006, 11:25:31 PM »
So this match is as good as dead. So let the discussion begin for the Mumbai game.

Assuming India play 2 fast bowlers ... which one of Santh or Patel gets in?
Does Chawla retain his spot?
Or does one of Kaif/Lakhan come back?

Does Bhajji get another game?

Laxman for Chawla  and we are all set as of now or probably SS for Munaf Patel.  That is a toss up.

Even though this game may not produce a result, some of these questions may get answered depending on any remaining play that takes place...Munaf/Chawla still have some time left to create a stronger impression in this Test.
VS / SRT form can be ascertained...(For VS form is a match-to-match thing, anyway).
Some of these has the potential to determine the next squad.

So, game may not be result producing, but may have impact in terms of squad for Bombay test.

completely agree with you, we have seen that munaf has the ability to reverse, considering that the game goes ahead today and england bat, there should be some help for munaf

Why did the chicken cross the road?

According to Le Chatelier:

The chicken crossed the road because there were too many moles of chicken
on the reactants side of the road equilibrium.

i saw powar bowling in the baroda match and he didn't look like a test class bowler. also, he swung and missed/edged a lot against the pace attack of england
