Just saw a couple of matches on ESPN.. the quality of hockey is awesome.

Hyderabad Sultans beat Chennai Veerans today 5-3. Diwakar Ram of Sultans is an emerging penalty corner specialist. Sandeep Singh is another good one in the league.

I think the intensity of this domestic tournament bodes well for Indian hockey.

Tomorrow's Sulatns vs Warriors is a virtual quarter final.

WN, PHL has been on for a few years now ... and the quality has been good all these years. However, it has not really translated into tangible benefits on a consistent basis as yet ... mainly due to the issues involved with selection of players for the national team.

However, it is very good to watch.

yep.. I watched them the last time I was here when the Steelers won the championship with Tirkey as captain.

The quality is good. Hope they get rid of KPS Gill and his cronies..
..who knows with the Chak De effect and this, we could win a medal at the olympics!
