Thats no 8 on the list. And that was a masterclass.

It was one innings when the batsman had decided not to open, but bat at no 4. He came in to bat with the score at 0 for 2

Good for you all.. the only sporting hero from that land is delivering the goods..and has had the greatest comeback by any cricketer in India. Congratulations. The best part of it was the grit he showed.. a characteristic he displayed when he captained India. Good that he was shaken out of his complacency.

Hope he sustains it.

Wow, looks like SRT, RD have some serious competition and cannot take their place for granted (given there are others like SB, SR, MT, knocking on the doors).. and that is good for Indian cricket.

No sir.. I was just one of the 35 thousand odd spectators... and they were all rooting for DADA... poor cricketing logic from such a huge crowd..how can they be so individual specific... huh...Blore should be banned from holding cricket matches

More than his heroics today, his main contribution was yesterday when he came in with 3 down for a very low score and lost Laxman. Thats where I think he made the best contribution. Ofcourse getting us to the 600 + score today has put us in an unassailable position (The series is now won) but yesterday we were in a position where we could have lost.

So Kudos to Gganguly.

All the fever infested people going out on attack should stop and think what they want to do? Enjoy this fine Ganguly effort or spurt out their poison of sarcasm on others.

You guys decide ... I am game either way

Late night games ... as i had said had a bunch going on over the weekend. So watched the game in a hurry. Doesnt matter two or three down ... his contribution started when we were 61/4 ... and yuvi and sg batted.

932 runs in 9 Tests in this Calender year......that is, since his return. The average is 62.3. He is only behind Jaques Kallis in the no. of Test runs this calender year and he isn't done yet. He got his double century on his 99th Test match. Another top player who hasn't got a double century to his name happens to be Jacques Kallis.

What a great comeback! GC will need all his theories to hide behind. 
While I type this Ganguly gets India the all important break-through of Salman Butt. Great all-round performance!

Why belittle anything by writing more than what should be written? My taking a bow to Dada should be suffice. As for SG falling to Akhtar's bouncer, it is a reality that he did fall. While scoring his 200 he did not get to face Akhtar. Had he done something commentable, I would have commented. Him scoring 200+ is something worth taking a bow. Writing poems or singing hosannas of SG wouldn't add any value IMO.
