I don't think it is as flat as they are making it out. The early morning due will have some effect. Pak openers are not that good. Strange. I thought the winning captain would chose to bowl.

Pak batting is a touch weak. Afridi is a hit/miss player. So, essentially they are playing 5 batters + WK + 5 bowlers.

They should have played Sehwag. Whatever sehwag scores, he scores faster and normally he scores whatever Gambhir scores (those 40 odd runs) & Sehwag can also bowl. Sehwag might not have fully recovered from his personal tragedy.

Per Dhoni, Gambhir is in better form and deserves to be in the XI

Gambhir will always be in form in domestic cricket. When it comes to international cricket, he scores slowly & not more than 50 runs. That is the tragedy of Indian cricket. So many people who are in form in domestic cricket, fail when they play against an international team.

Two quick wickets .. and, that solid platform suddenly looks irrelevant.

Now, Pakis have to not only score fast but also make sure that they do not lose too many wickets.

Maybe, SG did us a favour by dropping Yousuf earlier ... but, we'll have to wait till the end of the innings to find out.

It is India's match to lose from here on!!

Younis Khan did a great job of anchoring the innings for Pak ;D

This definitely looks like a 275 wicket..

The average score on this ground apparently is 217 ... but, that was before the extended powerplays and change of ball after 34 overs.

This chase should not be too difficult .. as long as the batsmen keep the RRR under check. What India does not want is to be chasing around 5.7-6/ over when the spinners come on.

They will have to score very slow in the PP to get the asking rate upto 6. Say 60 in 20 overs. I think wickets will be the key. No early wickets lost say two or three, and we should get home.

A win is guaranteed for us as long as Chuckter plays for Pakistan  :D :D

Ian Gold gives Akmal out and gives Ganguly not out. Very similar ball, both pitching just outside leg stump.....

I like the approach in this run chase ... no messing around with platforms and such .. take the attack to the opposition ... build some buffer for the later overs, when spinners will come on
