Challenger Final Red vs Blue
« on: October 28, 2007, 09:32:51 AM »
India Red 38-2 in 5.4
Kaif is in, batting like crap as usual - trying his patented pull shot and has been dropped at slip once and now edged to slip but dropped short. awesome he cant play jogi sharma.
praveen kumar celebrated his call up with a 1
bose bowling, sucking it up. even kaif pulls him for 4...not once but twice.

jogi has given a good account of himself and his bowling abilities in this tournament, gambhir doing a good job out there too.

yuck kaif pops a catch to short cover. bose strikes. that's the end of that. good captaincy by viroo i guess. at least badri gets to come in early. hope he scores a big one today

gambhir played a good knock and got out for 82. Reds have struggled since, are on 175-6 in 33.1
Badri is on 50(80) and hasnt  hit a boundary yet! fairly struggling out there, but keeping a cool head. he has to accelerate. though he and gambhir did a good job. he is going at around a run a ball now...
he also strikes me as a very fit cricketer. likes to run, and field.

note: with sunglasses on lalchand rajput looks like a scary pedo especially when he smiles.

Mishra has bowled quite well in this tournament. Good to see several spinners doing well. So now we kinda have mutiple spon choices of every type.
Karthik - Ozha
Bhajji - Powar
Chawla - Mishra

Reds pull to 269..good hitting in the end by Ojha and Rawat.

Badri was not out.. he played more of the anchoring type innings and didn't get the chance to accelerate.  GG needs to stay longer .. got out to a silly shot.

Over to Praveen Kumar.

Sehwag dropped on 0 by Kohli of the bowling of Praveen. He is swinging it.. but a bit wayward

Munde bowling well.. Yadav dropped once by WK and one hard chance through slips. This guy has no technique to survive the moving ball.

Good fielding gets the wicket.. Paresh's fielding runs out Yadav who was living a charmed life.

Kaif's team is a good fielding unit.. you can add 25 runs to the 269 .. it sucks that Virat and WK dropped catches.. still no damage done, yet

Bad running by Rahane. I guess little too immature. Or nervous?

This is good cricket...

Good batting, good running between wickets, good fielding, good captaincy by MK (making good bowling changes and fielding placements), good bowling by PK and Ojha...

because we are blinded by the fact that GC liked this guy and saw potential in him...and whatever GC did or tried to do, was ALL BAD.

a few matches too late !!!! And some very ordinary bowling ..... and  supported by the dew

And a century here is not a guarantee of scores at the Int'l level...KKD is a good Test player and should be kept off ODIs for sometime... RS / Badri make better ODI players
