Kaif gone... 8/26 with 22 dot balls. If Red dont win and play final.. he can kiss his ODI career goodbye!!

Pankaj Singh .. accurate but slow!!!!

aka military medium pacer aka trundler

We have many of those, difficult to find a bowler who swings at 140+ and can be somewhat accurate atleast. Munaf Patel in the beginning days - 2 to 3 years ago used to bowl 140+ swing and be on target.

Gone are those days, and it is grandpa days for Munna bhai now.

BCCI needs to do a better job of organizing such games..

Premier domestic ODI being played in front of empty stands.. the pitch is awful, slow wicket...some carrying to the keeper, some bouncing twice.

They really need to invest in bouncy, true, lively pitches.

It is becoming clear.. 50/50 is going to die. This is boring cricket.
Hope they get better crowds for the domestic 2020s or the ICL games.

ICL or IPL ?

Anway, Just wait for a year or two, and the same could be true for 2020 as well. It is a question of when the pitches in 2020 become patta tracks, and teams figure out optimal team composition .... and then one might prefer watching golf to cricket.

Not impressed by YP's bowling. Bowled a negative line.. pitching on or outside leg turning to off.. to both left handers. Hence the low RPO. Karan played out his one over ..struggling to score.

Anyway, Rohit Sharma is bowling ahead of Chawla here

Interesting ... has he modeled himself on Kumble or Gautam Warne?

Piyush Chawla to Gambhir, FOUR, ordinary effort from Pankaj Singh to field that ball. It was short and turning into Gambhir, pulls it well to deep midwicket where Pankaj Singh lets it go through his legs to the fence.

Looks like every pace bowler is modeling himself on Munaf ... first the sub 125 pace and now taking it one step further

GG is very good against spin, that is why he is a good bet if he can keep his form.

Exactly .. which is why it is a pity he generally has not been able to last till the spinners come on .. in his previous outings .... hope he gets over those early jitters

chawla gets Gambhir.. GG does get over-ambitious. He needs to be more patient.. he already had the runs in this over.. no need for that shot. Well made 73 of 74 balls

With Prasad as coach, I was hoping that Munaf would finally know what is expected of him - not 120kph pace. Somebody needs to show him figures that when he bowls sub130kph, he does not get wickets and gets carted. There is such a considerable difference. Also, why is Ga*eep Singh not playing, he has a very good domestic record, going for under 4 runs per over.

Well, the nice thing about his innings is that he has shown the willingness to try to play straighter relatively (for him) early in his innings. Not quite enough but it is in the right direction.

With all the bowlers bowling under 125kph, could it be said that Praveen Kumar is the second quickest bowler on show in the Challenger Trophy:D?

The Greens have only Pujara listed as pure batsman and Munaf Patel as pure bowler.. everyone else is listed as allrounder ;) ;)

184/4. 35 overs.

This Kohli lad can strike the ball. Chawla trying too much, being taken for runs.
