I never knew that Ponting could come up with such good tongue in cheek stuff ... he ribbed SRT too earlier about not having to field in half of his matches.

What did he have to say about SG's role?

not too much. He said ganguly did not seem to know what his role in the team was. It was basically a half-liner/one-liner about SG, RD, IP, YS, MSD :)

May be he was asked actually.....u know how our reporters generally lap-up to anything with white skin. :)

Dunno exactly. The Qs were not loud enough to hear. But he was not specifically asked about each player. He was asked some Q and said all of these in reply ;)
