Cheers to broadbat!

Broadbat, your match reports make for wonderful reading and I look forward to your opening sentences.

Accordingly, here are 2 suggestions for the Vadodara ODI from your literary fan. Please use whichever is applicable when the match concludes  ;D

Vadodara derives its name from a corruption of the Sanskrit word Vatodar, meaning  'In the heart of the Banyan tree'. The Indian team paid heavy respect to the meaning, displaying a strategy that was as fragmented as the many roots of the Banyan.

Vadodara derives its name from a corruption of the Sanskrit word Vatodar, meaning  'In the heart of the Banyan tree'. The Banyan is a venerated symbol of maturity and dignity sheltering us in its shade and there is no better metaphor to describe the heroic performance of <insert effective Maharathi here> today.

Indeed, cheers to broadbat for some succint, humorous yet informative match reports -- well written and worth reading.

Kudos  :icon_thumleft: :icon_thumleft:

Excellent suggestions -- I hope the latter version is used (since that points to an Indian win)   ::cheers::

Maharathis don't deliver ..hence the monicker.

Heroic performance of Irfan Pathan ... :icon_thumleft: :icon_thumleft:

Not only have his reports been terrific, his titles (Clueless in Cochin, A Hiding in Hyderabad, Jeers to Cheers in Chandigarh) have been great too.

Wonder whether he will go for B**** in Baroda or V**** in Vadodara? No second guessing and biasing him on that though ....would prefer to see his stuff !
