A guide to this DG
« on: October 01, 2007, 08:03:25 PM »
A forum I belonged to had a poster with a moniker "Lady Malibu", she said she was an actress but wanted to keep anonymous as she wanted to discuss and learn and not become a discussion. After months and tons of postings it was found that she was one of the regular guy poster. anyway now Lady Malibu in that forum means a fallacy or conman, and every once a while you have to explain to a new bee the origin and meaning.

As my #Posts here would show I have not been an active poster, but have been an avid reader since the rediff days and do understand most of the inner things and phrases.
So while its good to read about cricket, but if you don't keep track then what happens is that Losing becomes Winning, there's not a peep or squeak from a mocking turtle, One Haryanvi is still going strong but no sign of a jaat with kamsutric(sic) positions. a maverick with three kings and fighting alone against both gangulians and chappelites (are these terms still allowed?) shows he had the winning cards all along. a tag team operating from Cover point and fine leg but the pitch is cold with no fever. a Pakistani becomes a potato, God gives long discourses and Professors quipping one liners. Why did Sahir leave, did any Australians ever post here, is the TL univ closed, and if not who is the dean, who won the great battle between the mods and rebels. Who switched camps, and although just not possible but did anyone ever admit to being wrong in this forum.

Over time there must have been there must have a bunch of happening which I must have missed and what I'm requesting is both a grief cricketvoice glossary and a who's who's - at least for the top posters(# and impact).
Something like
CP2 is none other than coverpoint a poster who is famous as a SG fan and hurt by allegations against him, suggests that SG retires because he believes people only understand your worth once you retire.
Pipsqueak was once mockturtle and is one of the few manly poster who dared the girly men on the forum, had a dg swamvar once but does not like anyone getting fresh but is okay with using fresh ingredients.

I'm sure there are both better writers and knowledgeable DGers who can complete the above for every frequent posters.

This would help us infrequent visitors understands and also decide on our voting for the summer awards (btw what happened to those?)

Thanks
