the covers are coming off (an hour and 45 minutes into play time). no sign of play any time soon though - it is gloomy and they need some wind and sun to dry the bowling runup areas

News is that we may have a 20-25 over game with game starting at 2-2:30 PM GMT.

On a related note, EPSNStar laucnehd its own 24x7 cricket channel StarCricket, but none of the providers - DTH, DishTV, Cablewalahs seem to be carrying it in the major cities !!!!!!!!!!! And StarCricket is carrying the Ind-Eng series  ::) ::) ::) ::)

captains are out there. kallis shaking his head way too much and dravid frowning too much for there to be any chance of play.
why cant the bozos lighten up and stop acting like the weight of the world is on their shoulders. insignificant match in an insinificant series, that is pretty much rained out. relax.

meanwhile the crowd is in and pretty noisy considering there's no cricket on. its quite sunny out there. report from umpires soon.

next inspection in 45 mins. i dont see the point. actively do something to get to work on the dry areas - obviously there is not going to be enough sunshine to dry it out.
otherwise say the players are wussies, they dont want to play, that's it.
nope, instead, just keep delaying it, form committees to decide whether the players' feet can land in the run up areas, and in the meantime allow the sponsors and ads to get their mileage.
borrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrring.

game to start in 45 minutes - 31 overs a side (not 31.4 overs a side)
the game will start at 4pm local time - so 62 overs to be got in between 4pm and sunset. thats 4.5 - 5 hours. even in ireland, that's cutting in close. with wussies not wanting to play in bad light, i expect a d/l finish  ::Whip::

My feedback about the SA innings.

1. Aleem Dar looks like Waqar... Does he also smoke pot like Waqar [and Wasim]?
2. Poor catching and atrocious ground fielding shown by Injuns [what's new?]
3. I'm waiting for the ICC explanation for letting ABDV off the hook [don't worry, they will] after he pointed to his pads on getting caught by SRT of ZK. Also interesting will be the nature of the fines etc for Indians for 'showing dissent'
4. I have a few strands of hair left on my head, so I won't start discussing RD's captaincy and bowling changes. I give up.

dada as usual ball watching in his own ishtyle. GG should have tried to run out dada. He would have reched the other end before dada ;)

Imagine dada and dravid batting together. Both will be happily ball watching and not running at all  :icon_thumleft: :icon_thumleft:

This is very sad. Instead of enjoying the cricket, my mind is clouded by thoughts of KKK berating the management for waiting till the run rate is too high and doing in the dishwasher.

Interesting - at the moment, when India is facing a run rate creeping towards 7, under tough conditions, bet365 favors India over SA by a factor of 3!

Building up the pressure by not taking singles & depending on those boundaries. This is how the Indian team plays since ages. When will they learn to ease the pressure by taking singles?
