You are being too harsh here. SOmething which is not beautiful need not be ugly. It can be just neutral

Something which is not poetry need not be trash. It can be prose.

Good one Gaurav. But believe me, Kaif's innings was close to a doctor's prescription for flu (illegible handwriting, often wrong diagnosis, simple advice on medication covered up with techno-jargon invariably to sell medicines, in the end effective -- but only till the next visit to the doctor). Would you qualify that as prose as well? I mean, people like Garcia Marquez have also written in prose after all!

I dont have to believe you - or even listen to you for that matter - I saw it for myself.

I find it hard to believe anyone stayed up long enough to watch the whole Indian innings. I couldn't take the pain after a while.  :D

Hey-- I watched it all-- even from a non-Indian perspective, just a Test match lover's perspective, it was a very intriguing battle out there.

Well, we Indians do not have any platform to release our basic instincts. We cannot be jehadis or crusaders, nor can we be football hooligans, so we follow cricket and turn fan(atics).

Really disappointing for me watching, because we were just 5 minutes away from stumps with both still at the crease-- would have been fantastic if both were going out tomorrow and we were looking for a lead.

I watched the whole match. PAIN !!! It was an intriguing battle between bat and ball. A great fightback by Kaif and Kumble. Even a neutral test match lover would have loved to watch this. Of course, Srinath's yorkers and Siva's songs were sort of a comedy track werea bonus  ;D ;D

I had it running on my desktop while I worked on my laptop. But I gotta be honest -- there were very few times that I turned around and looked at the screen...mostly to hear WTF Srinath was talking about.

Exactly. More disappointed with Kaif's dismissal. He got a brilliant ball in the penultimate over. AK"s dismissal was kinda expected. I mean, how long can you precisely find gaps between slips  ;D ;D

Dex why the smily? Do you want the Chappalians to read into your statement?

I think I will start a thread on the over usage of smilies by moderators. Abuse of power to the hilt!!!

I was watching the feed that Skysports sports get, during one of the goofups, they hooked up LShiva commentating and talking about some chess championship.
The sky -sports guys immediately cut off the audio feed and later apologised saying: We are receiving this feed from an Indian Production company  and are sorry about the loss of  audio feed   :-X

Total agreement with Sahir and Jfk. Incredible Test match even if one were nuetral. Can't say I enjoyed it all as I was in a severe grip of depression at lunch. What is the point of life style stuff.... got worse with Pathan departing soon after.... then the Gods took some pity.

To see England bowl was a revelation. They have clearly been shaped as a unit and there is a clear method to the madness (apart from the obvious skills). Now, I can see why Aus was in such a hurry to take Troy Cooley away. Now they have just some months to create their own bowling machine... fun, fun, fun...

Yes, a thrilling test. A subcontinental classic. One to keep you glued to your seat. nice to see that in the day of 5 runs per over tests such matches also have a place.

excatly i am asking for prose here not poetry. i am just asking for some batting talent not plodding, scratching and scampering.

but like i said before in many posts yesterday, currently i would love to have kaif in the team rather than SG or VVS.
